I was planning a photo-shoot in the forest near my parents’home for a long time. I knew the kind of photo I wanted to get and this forest was the perfect place for it.

So two weeks ago as we were at my parents home, we woke up early on the Sunday to go in the forest. All gears were packed, by the way it was the first time I repacked my softbox and it was quite hard and fun to do, but now I have the trick ! Unfortunately, a thunder came just as we were planning to leave. We then waited for the rain to stop until the mid afternoon and went on the location.

We quickly found the location thanks to my sister and there were nobody except mosquitoes. Atmosphere was very wet and hot, I usually hardly support it but here I have to fight with mosquitoes too. The photo-shoot was : taking pictures, kill mosquitoes, clean my glasses as they were full steam and so on. I guess it’s not a good idea to go in the forest just after rain. Next time I will take repellent with me.

I managed to do some photos in the hurry ( I ended with more than 20 bites on my back, and my sister has his hand 3 times bigger than usual due to a bite), here are the few good photos I managed to shot :

Last Saturday, I went to a friend’s farm who raises a horse. I didn’t had time to shot her horse but instead I could shot “Goliath”, one of the neighborhood’s one. Here are the photos :

Birds seen in my garden

Here a few shots of birds who are passing through my garden. I set up a trough before winter and feed them oftenly, it didn’t take long for them to get used to it. And now I can observe all the newborn, specially the common starling, some days there are more than 20 looking for worms…

Behind the scene : Railway

Near my parent’s house, there is an abandonned place with railway, train station and factory. So it looks like a good place to do a photoshoot. It was really improvised, I didn’t plan anything but I get nice results ! Here are some shot of it, first some behind the scene taken by my sister and then the final photos :

Persephone @ EFF 2010

Being a great fan of Persephone for years, I couln’t miss their concert at the Elf Fantasy Fair. The concert took place in the chapel of the castle which for information is greater than some village’s church I saw ! So I took place at the second rank in it and I had the band at 4 meters of me, this concert was just amazing. Here are some photos of it :

Last week-end I went to the Elf Fantasy Fair in Haarzuilens, Netherlands. It seems to be one of the biggest fantasy festival of the region. There were so many people and almost all of them costumed ! This was just amazing. Unfortunaltely I spent only the saturday there and we didn’t had time to check eveything. But here and some photos of the fair :
